Tony Mauriello is long-time San Diego corporate transactional attorney and one of Slate Law Group’s newest and most storied transactional attorney. In addition to his role at Slate Law Group, Tony also currently serves (and has served since 2018) as the Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, General Counsel at a pre-IPO Silicon Valley tech company. He also acts (since 2015) as the General Counsel of Vigilance Risk Solutions, which is based in San Diego, California.

Prior to joining Slate Law Group and his aforementioned in-house roles, Tony spent 14 years as a corporate transactional attorney at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York City as well as at Latham & Watkins and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in San Diego. In these international law firms, Tony’s practice focused on public company representation, capital markets, venture capital financings, corporate strategy and startup company advising. Tony earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University in 2003 and his Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University in 2000, where he majored in psychology. He serves as an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego School of Law.
When he is not reveling in a good legal conundrum, Tony enjoys pretending to not walk on the beach, hurling weights around a gym, practicing yoga, writing a play (or five), and attempting to push a show or movie to the big screen.
